Paddle Yoga Classes

A Yoga Kai class lasts approx. 90 minutes. The first 15 minutes is dedicated to the safety and basic use of a paddle board and getting anchored down in the water. The subsequent hour is dedicated to your Paddle Yoga session. The yoga portion begins with some pranayama (breathing exercises) to get you relaxed, a gentle warm up to get you acquainted with the board, a climax, cool down, and ends with savasana. With a Hatha Yoga approach, students will go through a series of both strength building and restorative poses. Each yoga class will offer a ten-minute block of playtime, allowing students to attempt any poses they have been eager to try out on the water.  All equipment for the class (paddle board and anchor) is included in the price of the class. We meet at Ala Moana Beach Park near lifeguard stand 1E which is the last lifeguard stand before you walk onto Magic Island, the Diamond Head side.
